€75,000 for School Safety Improvements in Ballymore Eustace

Cllr Mark Wall has welcomed the announcement that €75,000 has being allocated to improve pedestrian safety in the vicinity of Ballymore Eustace primary school.

The allocation will allow for a design to be completed around the school to include a possible pedestrian crossing, footpath upgrade and road markings. The money was allocated by the Minister for State at the Department of Transport under the National Transport Authority Sustainable Transport Grants.

” Following motions to Kildare County Council and representations from parents and the school authority, I recently met with Officials of Kildare County Council at the School. This allocation will allow for the safe passage of Students and Teachers to and from the school. It is important that every effort is made to provide for the safety of our school children and this grant will gosomeway towards providing this in Ballymore Eustace”, concluded Cllr Wall.
