Can the council confirm what plans they have to improve the surface of Woodstock Street to the Stradballly Road, Athy?
Report: The Stradbally road, Athy needs to be resurfaced. After the last few winters the road has been showing signs of distress. It will be patched in the near future to keep it in a serviceable condition. This resurfacing work can be considered in light of available finances.

Councillor Wall
That the council confirm the up to date position with the taking in charge of the Friary estate, Castledermot.
Report: The Friary in Castledermot has not been completed to date. The taking in charge of The Friary or any phase of the development cannot be considered until that phase has been completed satisfactorily in accordance with the planning permission.

Councillor Wall
Can the council confirm the up to date position with the taking in charge of the Abbeylands estate, Castledermot?
Report: The remedial works have been completed on site in Abbeylands. The council is awaiting confirmation of the area which the management company for the apartments is responsible for before the formal taking in charge process can be progressed.

That the council further consider the use of the local community text alert system to inform the Kildare public of matters of local authority interest and information.
Report: This request is currently being considered by Mr. Minnock, Director of Services for Community and Culture, and a report will be prepared for the next meeting of the committee.

That the council, further to previous motion, confirm the up to date position with those lands in their ownership that may be of interest or benefit to local communities or sports groups.
A report will be available for the September meeting of the committee.
