Flood Relief at Ballyburn, Castledermot
A UD file was opened (UD6314) on receipt of a complaint about noise, dust, signage, hedgerows, incomplete paths, screening mounds. Subsequently the complainant also contacted us about flooding in the area. A joint site inspection was carried out on the 4th April 2014 with the Environment Section. There is no quarrying taking place on the site. Site enabling works have commenced including the construction of screening berms and haul roads within the site. It was observed that there is a large stock pile of excavated material as a result of the construction of haul roads within the site.
On a previous site inspection conducted in 2013 it was observed that archaeological investigations were taking place on site. Taking into account the findings of the latest site inspection the planning file (ref. 05/2091) will be examined and a recommendation for appropriate action will be made.
