€40 million is being made available under a new round of the Sports Capital Programme (SCP). At today’s Municipal District meeting we were informed that the road remains very much on target. Soil sampling has begun today and will continue over coming days. Archaeological reports are back and although reports are not finalised, the senior engineer stated that there were no significant finds that would affect the road in any way. The ADR scheme is proceeding according to the project programme. Funding from the DTTaS for 2018 has been secured. Soil Sampling and Archaeology Surveying will be commencing the first week in May.
